BREAKING: Transfer portal TE Donovan Green chooses LSU
LSU has picked up another vital piece for their football program as Texas A&M transfer portal tight end Donovan Green has committed to the Tigers while on his visit.
The 6-foot-5, 265-pound tight end will have two years of eligibility remaining. He chose LSU over Indiana, West Virginia, Illinois and others.
Green was a part of the Aggies class of 2022 where he was considered the nation’s No.1 ranked tight end out of Dickinson, Texas. He then tore his ACL before the start of the 2023 season and is still working his way back. He only appeared in seven games for the Aggies last season.
LSU’s tight end room is in need of an infusion of talent as Trey’Dez Green is the only returning player. From the high school signing class, LSU signed legacy tight end John David LaFleur of Sulphur and then added Oklahoma transfer Bauer Sharp.
