Transfers must bolster LSU defense

Blake Baker improved the LSU defense in his first season as coordinator.

However, the Tigers defense is not close to championship level. The linebacker position was the defense’s only level to perform fairly well for the entire season. Whit Weeks, LSU’s best defensive player in 2024, will be back when the season starts at Clemson.

Weeks is just one of three full-time starters from the recently completed season returning in 2025.
