Good omen for LSU baseball

LSU will conclude the pre-Southeastern Conference portion of its schedule Tuesday night when Xavier visits The Box.

The Musketeers are slightly below .500 (7-9) against a rather challenging schedule. All but six of Xavier’s games have been against power-conference teams. This past weekend the Musketeers lost three games at Vanderbilt.

If LSU defeats Xavier, it will own a 17-1 record heading into the SEC-opening series against Missouri at The Box this weekend.
