Many parts needed for an improved LSU running game

No team in the Southeastern Conference has a more highly regarded quarterback than LSU with returning starter Garrett Nussmeier.

Nussmeier enjoyed a good, not great, junior season in which he guided the Tigers to nine victories. There is no doubt that Nussmeier did not benefit from a productive running game. The LSU offense too often relied upon Nussmeier’s throwing arm.
