LSU fans should be appreciative of Mulkey

March Madness is here.

The men’s NCAA tournament will begin Tuesday night with a pair of play-in games in Dayton.

For the third straight year, LSU has only one representative in the Big Dance – coach Kim Mulkey’s women’s team.

Coach Matt McMahon’s men’s team will be on the sidelines by its own choice. Even though the Tigers had a losing overall record and won just three Southeastern Conference games, they automatically qualified for the NIT.
