Tigers need stronger secondary play

For more than ten years, LSU has been referred to as ‘DBU’ due to the performance of its secondary personnel.

However, there has been slippage at that position over the last few years. Not coincidentally, the Tigers’ defense has taken a dip over that time.

LSU has not had a defensive back make the Associated Press All-Southeastern Conference team since 2020 when Eli Ricks was a second-unit selection.
