McMahon has little margin of error

Matt McMahon is getting his roster settled for the 2025-26 season.

No Southeastern Conference men’s basketball coach is on a hotter seat than LSU’s McMahon. After going 9-9 in the SEC and reaching the NIT, the Tigers dropped off to a 3-15 league record this past season. Moreover, LSU was not competitive in the SEC.

McMahon was not given a healthy amount of money to build his roster this past season – reportedly, less than $2 million.
