NFL draft shows LSU not quite at elite level in 2024

The recently completed NFL draft gave evidence that LSU was a good, but far from a great team, in 2024.

The Tigers were one of three Southeastern Conference teams who won nine games – joining Alabama and South Carolina. Both LSU and Alabama had seven players drafted, while South Carolina had five players selected.

Texas and Georgia had the two best records among SEC teams. The Longhorns finished with a 13-3 record, while the Bulldogs ended with an 11-3 record.
