LSU on its way to national seed

LSU protected its home field last weekend against Arkansas, considered to be one of top two teams in the Southeastern Conference along with Texas.

The Tigers and Razorbacks each won a close game in the series. LSU rallied in the late innings for a 5-4 victory in the first game, which did not conclude until early Saturday morning. Then, Arkansas held on for a 7-4 victory in the third game.

So, the deciding game occurred Saturday night.
