Tuning up for NCAA tournament

When preseason practice began in January, LSU was projected to be one of the top teams in the Southeastern Conference and the country.

The Tigers made those predictions come true during the regular season. LSU won seven of ten series on the way to a 19-11 SEC record – good enough for a third-place tie with Vanderbilt in the final standings.

The Tigers lost just two of 25 games against non-conference opponents as they completed the regular season with a 42-13 record.
