McMahon’s LSU future rests on mid-major players

The expectation for LSU men’s basketball coach Matt McMahon is quite clear.

After finishing near the bottom of the Southeastern Conference standings for two of his first three seasons, McMahon’s fourth Tigers team must reach the NCAA tournament for him to keep his job.

No excuses will be accepted. The LSU administration has provided more financial resources for McMahon’s fourth team, although the amount is not near the top among SEC schools.
