LSU women’s basketball: where it has been and where it is going

The first quarter of the 21st century for LSU athletics concluded with the baseball team winning the national championship last month.

The Tigers women basketball program was at its zenith during a five-year span early in the century. LSU made five straight Final Four appearances from the 2003-04 season through the 2007-08 season. However, the Tigers lost in the national semifinals each year.

LSU won at least 30 games in four of those five campaigns.
