Second-year starting QBs have been a plus for LSU

Garrett Nussmeier is preparing for his second season as LSU’s starting quarterback.

If the track record remains the same, the 2025 campaign should be a good one for Nussmeier and the Tigers.

Over the past 20 years, six LSU quarterbacks have been starters in consecutive campaigns. The Tigers’ record never dropped in the second season. The largest positive gain was a four-game improvement from Joe Burrow’s first to second year.
