Tigers need more good luck at QB position

LSU has enjoyed good fortune as regards the health of its starting quarterbacks this century. Only one season took a turn for the worse due to a quarterback injury.

The second week of LSU’s preseason practice was dominated by a situation which could have been much worse than the initial report.

Tigers quarterback Garrett Nussmeier suffered a knee injury in a mid-week practice. Initially, the feelings were that Nussmeier’s mishap was very serious. Such a scenario did not occur. Nussmeier was back at practice Saturday with members of the media present.

Nussmeier threw the ball well.
