In his pre-fall practice session with members of the media, LSU baseball coach Jay Johnson obviously talked nothing about winning another national championship.

Slightly more than two months removed from winning his second national title with the Tigers, Johnson emphasized the amount of work needed to be done over the next three months. There was no mention of winning games, much less championships.

Up next for LSU is preparation for the 2026 season opener in February.
