LSU is one of 11 Louisiana universities which play Division I football.

The Tigers will play host to two of those schools this month – Louisiana Tech this Saturday and SLU two weekends later.

However, the changing landscape of college football may be putting such games in jeopardy for the future. The Southeastern Conference is switching to a nine-game league schedule in 2026. Moreover, SEC teams will be required to play one opponent from one of the other three power conferences.
