Offensive defense carries LSU over Gators

Late in the second quarter, LSU found itself in a tie game with Florida in the Southeastern Conference opener at Tiger Stadium.

The Tigers had mounted only one touchdown drive during the first half. However, LSU had a remedy for the situation.

Simply let the defense also be charged with the task of scoring points. Coordinator Blake Baker’s defense accepted the challenge.

An interception by AJ Haulcy led to a go-ahead field goal to end the first half.
