Woodward and Kelly going under microscope

Some six-and-a-half years ago, LSU hired Scott Woodward to be Director of Athletics at his alma mater.

Also being a Baton Rouge native, Woodward was well received by many Tigers supporters. The LSU community had grown tired of Joe Alleva, who had no connection to Louisiana, during his tenure as Director of Athletics.

Athletic directors are primarily judged on the ability to set up a financially stable department and the ability to hire successful head coaches.
