Leash is now short at upper tier power conference schools

Brian Kelly should have known he was in serious trouble when Penn State fired coach James Franklin two weeks ago.

 

Franklin won a lot of games during his 11-plus seasons with Nittany Lions. Franklin won 70 percent of his games at Penn State (104-45). However, Franklin won a single Big Ten championship in 11 years.

 

The Nittany Lions were projected to be a main contender for the 2025 national title.
