Frank Wilson finds himself in a rare situation as regards the LSU football program.
Wilson is just the second interim head football coach in the last 50 years to lead the program for more than one game. Ed Orgeron replaced coach Les Miles after four games in the 2016 season.
Under Orgeron, the Tigers won five of seven games to finish the regular season with a 7-4 record. Orgeron was then hired as LSU’s permanent head football coach. The Tigers defeated Louisville in the Citrus Bowl.
