Without a doubt, Alabama was ripe to be beaten on its home field Saturday night.

The Crimson Tide passing game looked nothing like it had during the current winning streak. Quarterback Ty Simpson put up his normal numbers through the air. However, the Tide scored only two touchdowns.

LSU was simply not good enough to pull off the upset.

The Tigers offense was inept as it produced only three field goals.
