Without Tremont Waters the past two games, LSU still did enough to pull itself into a share of the Southeastern Conference lead by recording victories.
In the Tigers’ 82-80 come-from-behind victory against Tennessee, freshman Javonte Smart stepped in for Waters and scored a season-high 29 points. Smart made the two game-winning foul shots with less than one second remaining.
On Tuesday, LSU never trailed in knocking off Texas A&M 66-55.
