Getting ‘a ring’ is next goal for LSU basketball

Winning a Southeastern Conference championship is not a common achievement for the LSU basketball program.

Since Shaquille O’Neal left for the NBA in the early 1990s, the Tigers have won only three SEC titles – 2000, 2006 and 2009. The current nine-year championship drought is LSU’s longest since it went 24 years between titles in 1954 and 1979.

There are just three games remaining on the 2019 SEC basketball schedule.
