January ended as well as possible for the LSU men’s basketball team.

On the final day of the month, coach Matt McMahon’s team came away with a road overtime victory over South Carolina. The Tigers finished the first half of the Southeastern Conference schedule with a 2-7 record. McMahon’s time at LSU is near conclusion.

February started as well as possible for the Tigers’ women’s basketball team.
