Ausberry facing challenging times

Verge Ausberry spent his entire post-college life preparing for his current position.

A former LSU football player under coach Bill Arnsparger in the 1980s, Ausberry was chosen as the school’s Director of Athletics following the dismissal of Scott Woodward.

Ausberry, a native of New Iberia, worked for more than 30 years at LSU. He now holds the job he always desired. However, Ausberry is moving into the lead role of the Tigers athletic department during difficult times.
