Orgeron sees a much different team

March 7, 2019

After the first practice of spring football, LSU coach Ed Orgeron’s assessment of his team was very positive.

“We are much farther ahead than we’ve been at any time since we’ve been here,” said Orgeron at his post-practice press conference Thursday night. “We did a lot of football school work in the offseason. We hit the ground running (Thursday).”

There will be a few projected defensive starters not going through full contact during spring practice – end Rashard Lawrence, linebackers K’Lavon Chaisson and Jacob Phillips and cornerback Kristian Fulton.
