Four LSU spring practice surprising players

One week remains in Lane Kiffin’s first spring football practice as LSU head coach.

The results have been a mixed bag. In the scrimmage two Saturday ago, the defense controlled the day. In last weekend’s scrimmage, the offense won the day with USC transfer quarterback Husan Longstreet being the standout.

Kiffin stressed last Tuesday that his team still is far from being a College Football Playoff team.
