Since coach Skip Bertman built the LSU baseball powerhouse 40 years ago, only a few times has the team struggled as it has this season.

With three weekends remaining in the Southeastern Conference schedule, the Tigers are sitting in 15th place – ahead of only Missouri. All 16 teams participate in the SEC tournament next month. So, LSU has a chance to reach the NCAA tournament.
