Will Wade is finalizing the details for his second LSU basketball signee in the form of Italian forward, Saliou Niang.

The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 8.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per game for Virtus Bologna in Italy, this past season.

Niang was drafted 58th overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2025 NBA Draft and returned to Europe to join Bologna to continue his development. While Niang will spend the 2026-2027 season with the Tigers, the Cavaliers will have the option to retain his rights if and when he decides to try his hand at the NBA following his time in Baton Rouge.

TigerBait exclusively reported LSU's interest in Niang and reported that Wade was set for an overseas trip, earlier this week.

The Tigers have seen their entire roster either graduate or enter the Transfer Portal following Matt McMahon's dismissal, as well as their lone two high school signees being let out of their deals, officially leaving zero players on Wade's new roster before Kentucky transfer forward, Mouhamed Dioubate's commitment in mid-April.

More to come on this breaking story...
