BREAKING: Five-Star TE Ahmad Hudson commits to LSU.
LSU has landed a commitment from one of the most coveted prospects of 2027, five-star tight end out of Ruston, Louisiana, Ahmad Hudson.
Hudson chose LSU over his other finalist, Nebraska.
The 6-6, 230-pound prospect is a top-25 consensus recruit in both basketball and football.
Hudson was named the 2025-2026 Gatorade Player of the Year for Boys Basketball in Louisiana.
Hudson’s commitment is the 5th for LSU’s 2027 class and the second five-star player joining edge rusher Jaiden Bryant.
LSU now holds the 7th-rated class according to the On3 industry rankings. It’s the only class in the top-15 with five or fewer players committed.
Hudson was supposed to announce his decision in July, but after several visits to LSU, he decided to end the process.
