SEC POWER TIERS: LSU makes biggest statement of Week 1

Southeastern Conference football teams had very little problems during the first week of the regular season.

Prior to Sunday, only Auburn had a tight game. The Tigers needed a stop on a two-point conversion in the final seconds to hold off Baylor 17-16. Vanderbilt and Arkansas struggled to non-dominant victories over Austin Peay and North Alabama, respectively.

On Sunday night, LSU coach Lane Kiffin’s old team was involved in a shootout with Louisville.
