THE MONDAY GRADES: LSU comes back to earth in Oxford

LSU showed plenty of fight in erasing a 17-point halftime deficit, but the Tigers’ 32-24 loss at Ole Miss exposed problems along the offensive line, at wide receiver and in the secondary. We hand out the position-by-position grades from a disappointing night in Oxford.

Here are the position grades for LSU in its 32-24 loss to Ole Miss at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford (Miss.) on Saturday night. The positions on offense and defense are listed according to grade.

 

OFFENSE

Running back: Dilin Jones (starter) – 23 carries, 106 yards, 1 touchdown; 3 targets, 2 catches, 6 yards; Stacy Gage – 3 carries, 3 yards.

SKINNY: Coach Lane Kiffin desires to use one running back. Jones is proving to be that guy for this team.
