SEC Power Rankings: Ole Miss joins the top tier, LSU slips after loss in Oxford

Three Southeastern Conference teams made statements this past Saturday.

First, Ole Miss showed it is in the same class as Texas and Georgia by scoring a late touchdown to beat LSU 32-24 in Oxford (Miss.). The Rebels now have victories against two ranked teams – Louisville and LSU.

Second, Florida won its SEC opener at Auburn 44-39 in a game between two new head coaches. Coach Jon Sumrall has the Gators off to a 3-0 start.
