BATON ROUGE — Sam Leavitt and LSU answered the bell Saturday night.
Coming off their first loss of the season, the Tigers returned to Tiger Stadium and overwhelmed Texas A&M 35-6 behind one of Leavitt’s best performances in an LSU uniform.
Leavitt completed 17-of-23 passes for 312 yards and two touchdowns as the Tigers repeatedly produced explosive plays against the Aggies.
LSU took a 14-3 advantage into halftime before breaking the game open with 21 points in the third quarter, while the Tigers’ defense kept Texas A&M out of the end zone all night.
The victory moved LSU to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in SEC play.
