No excuses as Tigers prepare for NCAA tournament

For the first time in four years and for only the second time in ten years, LSU will be a participant in March Madness come Thursday.

The Tigers, a No. 3 seed in the East Regional after winning the Southeastern Conference regular-season championship, will take on Yale, the Ivy League’s automatic qualifier, at Jacksonville’s VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena (11:40 a.m. Central/ TruTV).

LSU has good memories of the arena in Jacksonville.
