WATCH: Sam Leavitt reacts after throwing 4 TDs in LSU's 31-0 rout of Mississippi State

BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt turned in one of his best performances of the season Saturday afternoon, leading the Tigers to a convincing 31-0 shutout victory over No. 16 Mississippi State in Tiger Stadium.

Leavitt completed 31 of 38 passes for 289 yards and four touchdowns without an interception, connecting with nine different receivers while completing an impressive 81.6 percent of his attempts.

The victory helped LSU bounce back from last week's heartbreaking overtime loss at Kentucky and improved the Tigers to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in Southeastern Conference play.

Following the game, Leavitt met with reporters to discuss the offensive performance and LSU's much-needed conference victory.
