BATON ROUGE – LSU and Alabama will renew their rivalry in an afternoon showdown at Tiger Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 7, with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
The Southeastern Conference announced the kickoff time and television assignment Monday, setting the stage for a rare daytime meeting between the Tigers and Crimson Tide in Baton Rouge.
LSU (6-2, 3-2 SEC) heads into its open date riding the momentum of an impressive 38-17 road victory over Auburn. Lane Kiffin's Tigers dominated the action at Jordan-Hare Stadium, piling up 552 yards of total offense while snapping an eight-game SEC road losing streak.

Alabama (6-2, 4-2 SEC) also enters its bye week following a victory, having defeated Texas A&M, 31-20, on Saturday.
Both programs will have an extra week to prepare for a matchup with significant implications in the SEC standings and potentially the College Football Playoff race.
The afternoon kickoff marks a departure from the traditional nighttime atmosphere surrounding this rivalry in Baton Rouge.
In fact, the last time LSU hosted Alabama in a daytime game was Nov. 6, 2010, when the Tigers defeated the Crimson Tide, 24-21, in a memorable victory at Tiger Stadium.
Sixteen years later, the two SEC rivals will meet again under the afternoon sun, with both teams looking to strengthen their postseason positioning heading into the final month of the regular season.
