WATCH: Red Panda Steals the Show at LSU Basketball Halftime With Dazzling Unicycle Act
BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU men's basketball team wasn't the only attraction Tuesday night at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
World-famous halftime entertainer Red Panda brought her signature unicycle act to Baton Rouge during LSU's game against New Orleans, entertaining the crowd with the remarkable balancing and bowl-flipping routine that has made her a basketball fan favorite for decades.
Red Panda, whose real name is Rong Niu, is a fourth-generation Chinese acrobat who began training at age seven. She has performed at NBA and college basketball games since 1993, becoming one of the most recognizable halftime performers in the sport.
Her act features a custom-built unicycle approximately eight feet tall. While balancing high above the court, she uses her foot to flip bowls into the air and catch them on top of her head, adding more bowls as the routine progresses.
Red Panda made headlines in July 2025 when she suffered a broken wrist after falling during a WNBA halftime performance. She returned to performing that October.
Her Tuesday night appearance gave LSU fans an opportunity to see one of basketball's most celebrated entertainers in person.
