LSU women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey had two of the nation's top young prospects on campus Saturday as Class of 2029 standouts Athiei Dhal and Carib Morris visited Baton Rouge for LSU's football showdown with Alabama.
Dhal, a 6-foot-10 center from Freeport High School in Florida, is one of the most intriguing young post prospects in the country. As a freshman, she averaged 27.4 points, 14 rebounds and six blocked shots per game while shooting 69 percent from the field.
Dhal has already attracted scholarship offers from Ohio State, Florida State, Virginia Tech and SMU. She competes on the Nike EYBL circuit with HER Elite.
Morris, a 6-foot-2 wing from South Forsyth High School in Cumming, Georgia, is ranked No. 11 nationally and the No. 1 forward in ESPN's Class of 2029 rankings. She averaged 27.7 points per game as a freshman and earned first-team All-State honors.
Morris has accumulated more than 30 scholarship offers, including Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas, Notre Dame, Iowa and several other major programs. She has also participated in USA Basketball junior national team activities.
Both prospects compete for HER Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit, giving Mulkey and her staff an opportunity to continue building relationships with two highly coveted players in the 2029 recruiting cycle.
