Keep bringing it, brother.

While tariffs will hurt our consumers in the short term, they're going to hurt China far more. We've allowed the Chinese to basically dump their cheap stuff in our market for far too long. Funny thing is, they're supposed to play by the same WTO rules that we do. This is a big reason why I hate all these globalist, sovereignty robbing so called "free trade" pacts. All they end up doing is removing all barriers to our markets while leaving the other country's basically closed. We cannot continue to hemorrhage hundreds of billions of dollars to China and others lest we risk becoming a second rate economic power or worse.

There is a reason why China has become a major player on the world stage relatively quickly and you nailed it. China has been engaged in so much industrial and military espionage over the years it's mind boggling. And now with all this new technology, ie cameras and such, we face serious risks to our well being and security. I believe Trump understands all this and is pushing to aggressively remedy the situation. China for its part, is not used to having a US admin show such resistance to the established order. This is a high stakes game we're playing where neither side is giving much ground. I've no doubt that the Chinese are trying to wait out the election next year hoping for a more friendly and compliant Dem admin. If that happens, watch how fast the progs/socialists give away the farm, so to speak.
