BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU junior centerfielder Zach Watson was named Wednesday night as one of three outfielders on the 2019 American Baseball Coaches Association Gold Glove team for NCAA Division I. Watson was voted to the team for the second straight year.

The Tigers have opened the season with eight consecutive victories for the first time since 2011 when they began with an 11-0 record. Texas (7-3) has been good, but not great so far this year. But, without a doubt, the Longhorns will present LSU its first real challenge of the young season.

LSU edges Bryant 4-3 to sweep series
Antoine Duplantis singled home Zach Watson with two out in the bottom of the seventh inning to give LSU a 4-3 victory against Bryant at The Box on Sunday afternoon.
