Battle and Delpit bring significant experience to secondary

There will be many new starters on both sides of the football when LSU opens its season against Miami in less than three weeks.

One position will field two players who are quite familiar to each other and the Southeastern Conference. The Tigers will bring back both starters at safety – fifth-year senior John Battle and sophomore Grant Delpit.

Both players recorded similar statistics in 2017. Battle was credited with 61 tackles, including 2½ behind the line of scrimmage.
