Notes:

Georgia Southern is coming off of a 10 win season rebounding from a 10 loss season in 2017.

You may remember Ga Southern from its upset over UF in 2013 where they beat the Florida Gators with no completed passes.

Ga Southern coach Chad Lunsford returns for his second full season as head coach.

He took over in 2017 after the team started 0-6 and he finished 2-4.

Ga Southern will run the option a lot.

QB Shai Wertz returns to the team after an offseason "incident.” He had 987 yards passing and 908 rushing

Leading rusher Wesley Fields has departed for the Eagles. Expect Logan Wright, Matt Larouche and Wesley Kennedy to pick up the slack.  The Eagles featured 5 players who rushed for 300 or more yards last season.

Four-year recruiting ranking 106 vs LSU who ranks 3rd (SB Nation). 

Georgia Southern CB Kindle Vildor will be a legitimate threat and an NFL player. Vildor led the Sun Belt with 12 passes defended. He earned Pro Football Focus's second-highest grade among all returning FBS cornerbacks (SI.com).

interesting note: Chris Blair, the voice of the LSU Tigers, came to LSU from Georgia Southern.
