What a boost from Cole Tracy and Avery Atkins

No two newcomers made a bigger impact in LSU’s 33-17 season-opening victory against Miami last weekend than two kickers.

Cole Tracy, a graduate transfer from Division II Assumption College, made all four of his field goal attempts – including a school-record tying 54-yarder. Avery Atkins, a walk-on from Auburn (Ala.), put six of his eight kickoffs into the end zone for touchbacks.
