LSU senior defensive back Kary Vincent has announced his decision to opt out of the 2020 college football season due to Covid-19 concerns.

Vincent joins Tiger defensive end Neil Farrell as the Tiger programs two players that have decided to opt out.

In a statement released on Twitter, Vincent said, “With thoughtful prayer and lengthy discussions with my family, we feel that is is in my best interest to opt out of my final year at LSU and begin training for the NFL Combine. I have worked long and hard for the opportunity to .play in the NFL. I’m humbled and excited about attacking this next challenge with humility, integrity, and dignity and I will always be Forever LSU.”

Vincent started eight games for the Tigers and played in 14 games.  He was LSU’s top returning nickel back.
