Jardin Gilbert commits to LSU

Former Baton Rouge (La.) University High star Jardin Gilbert is returning home as the former Texas A&M Aggie has announced his commitment to LSU.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound safety in three seasons totaled 79 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, two interceptions and eight passes broken up.

“I committed to LSU for a plethora of reasons and I can be here all day long explaining that,” Gilbert said. “LSU itself is what basically sold me,  from the best fans in Death Valley,  to the very intelligent coaches and staff.

“I always wanted to represent my state so given the opportunity to come home was a no-brainer. I Just know this is DBU and I’m going to do everything in my power to keep that on track !! Ready to work ASAP.”
