Johnson’s work just getting started

Twelve months ago, LSU coach Jay Johnson was in the process of making a NCAA tournament run which would end in a national championship.

Johnson was certainly thrilled about winning the College World Series in just his second season with the Tigers. LSU fans were ecstatic after bringing to a halt a national title drought which had reached 13 years (12 tournaments).

During the CWS, Johnson was concerned about falling behind in recruiting out of the transfer portal.
