BREAKING: Four-star DT Deuce Geralds commits to LSU
Brian Kelly and the LSU football program picked up one of the nation's biggest defensive line prospects for the class of 2026.
Four-star defensive tackle Deuce Geralds of Suwanee (GA) Collins Hill has announced his commitment to LSU. He chose the Tigers over Oregon. Other schools that were also heavily considered were Ohio State, Ole Miss and Michigan.
Geralds announced his LSU commitment in front of a packed gym at his high school.
“Being a LSU Tiger is truly a blessing,” Geralds said. “It’s been my dream since I was a little kid growing up in Baton Rouge.
“This is my dream come true with (defensive line) coach Kyle Williams, Frank Wilson, Brian Kelly and all those guys. They just make it feel like home, coach (Blake) Baker, I’m glad to be there now.”
The 6-foot-2, 275-pound Geralds visited LSU officially on the weekend of May 30. He’s being recruited to LSU by Tigers assistants Frank Wilson and Kyle Williams.
“The official visit this weekend was eye-opening for me,” Geralds told TigerBait immediately following his visit. “I met with support staff and training staff and understood more of their plan for the football athletes.
“I also got to understand the LSU effect on your personal brand as well as the level of development they offer to you to match your own personal goals.”
Last season, he recorded 114 tackles, including 30 tackles for loss and 13 sacks. To show what an athletic big-man Geralds is, he scored eight touchdowns on offense on 33 carries (211 yards).
LSU now has 19 commitments for the class of 2026.
Geralds is the son of former Baton Rouge (LA) Scotlandville offensive lineman Daverin Geralds who played collegiately at Ole Miss. He was a part of the Ole Miss class of 2006.
