Lane Kiffin has his marquee signal caller as top transfer portal quarterback Sam Leavitt is expected to sign with LSU.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Leavitt finished the 2025 season with 1,628 passing yards with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions. He also rushed for 306 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
Leavitt started his career at Michigan State before transferring to Arizona State.
He led the Sun Devils to the College Football Playoffs in the 2024 season. He passed for 2,885 yards with 24 touchdowns and six interceptions. He completed 61.7 percent of his passes.
As a starter for Arizona State, Leavitt was 6-1 versus ranked opponents.
Leavitt hasn't played since an injury ended his season in late October due to injury. He received foot surgery in early November with a minimum of six months needed to recover.
He has two years of eligibility remaining.
