Entering practice last fall, the strength of the 2026 LSU team appeared to be its pitching staff.

The Tigers may not have had at their disposal a one-two starting punch like Kade Anderson and Anthony Eyanson, but they did have three or four starters who could work five innings. Those pitchers could be backed up by a deep group of talented arms.
